Home Boarding

Does the idea of boarding your furry friend in a traditional kennel fill you with horror? If you’re going on holiday, you want to relax knowing your dog is well looked after.

Happy home boarding dogs sleeping

You need to know they’re getting plenty of care, attention, exercise, play and socialisation in a safe environment. All the things that make a dog happy! I offer just that in my Great Blakenham home, for one dog or two from the same family. My rescue dog Bailey spent the first 10 months of his life in and out of kennels. I know dogs who’ve previously come from a kennel environment may struggle to settle or have anxieties regarding abandonment. With my home boarding services your dog will have round the clock companionship with both me and my playful pooch, Bailey. Home boarding is a dog’s luxury retreat compared to kennels which helps them to settle while you're away. You'd be mad to put your pooch in a caged kennel rather than a friendly, warm, family  environment!

What to expect when home boarding with me

I’ll invite you to my home to show you where they’ll be staying and to ensure our dogs get along. Your dog will be treated like my own. They’ll be fully integrated into family life during their stay. If you feel it will help your dog settle, you’re welcome to bring their bed and favourite toys. There are plenty here if you do forget, so don’t worry. Throughout the day there’ll be plenty of play sessions, cuddles and pampering, as well as 3 walks a day. There’s no doubt they’ll be thoroughly entertained and ready for a good snooze by the fire by the end of the day. If I do need to go out, it won't be for long.

They’ll also have supervised access to my secure garden, whenever they want. All of this from my  home from home, luxury home boarding establishment.

Because I only have space for one dog, please ensure you book well in advance to avoid disappointment. I also ask that your dog is up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming treatment.

All dogs are required to have 2 walks and a trial overnight stay prior to boarding. I also ask that dogs accompany me on at least one walk per month to build on our relationship. That way they have the consistency of care and will be settled when they stay next time!

I look forward to welcoming you both into our home, get in touch for a quick introductory chat.
